Not long ago, I put out a model call looking for humans willing to get naked for me. A couple days later, I realized that I should have also specified that could totally include pregnant humans. Either way, this amazing lady answered my call with an upfront willingness to bare it all for me - and I’m incredibly grateful. We had to sneak her in last minute because she’s going to pop, soon!
Model calls are always fun because it’s a great time for me to play around with creating excessively moody shots - which are my ride or die if we’re being honest. It’s really an homage to my younger, dramatic self. I digress. I remember being horrifyingly pregnant and hating every minute of it. If anyone looked at me the wrong way, I’d yell. There’s something about the way Madeleine carried herself that left me in awe - with a sort of grace.
Also, I don’t know if you can tell - but I’m living for this hand-painted backdrop from the incomparable Oshan Ford - if you DON’T know who she is, you’re missing out.
An overwhelming amount of gratitude for my incredibly model - your candour and vulnerability are 98% these photos look the way they do. The fancy camera only really accounts for 2%, swear to god.
